I’m Mike, and I’ve decided to call my disc golf blog “Blue Jay Disc Golf – Flight Science!” I’m a huge fan of the blue jay bird – they’re striking creatures with a fierce and intelligent nature, qualities I aspire to in my own game. As a former NCAA discus thrower, I’m naturally drawn to the technical and skill-based aspects of disc golf, and the role physics plays. I’m already planning sport science experiments to analyze disc flight, exploring how different factors like plastics, stabilities, weights, weather, and speeds impact performance.
